Dr. Jared Hunt serves as Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where he teaches applied trumpet and a range of academic courses including Brass Methods, Performance Lab, and Music Appreciation. Before joining the 雪梨社区 faculty in 2022, Dr. Hunt led a thriving private trumpet studio in Coppell, Texas, where his students consistently earned placements in Region, Area, and All-State ensembles. Notably, two of his students placed first overall in the 6A trumpet category in the state of Texas.
As a performer, Dr. Hunt has played with ensembles such as the Dallas Winds, Temple Symphony, Waco Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Tucson Symphony, and Arizona Opera. He has performed or presented at major conferences including TMEA, the Midwest Clinic, the International Trombone Festival, the International Women鈥檚 Brass Conference, and NACWPI. He is also a performing member of the Dallas鈥揊ort Worth-based group Center Stage Brass.
